For the chocolate icing

  • ¼ cup cacao powder

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 180◦C.
  2. Place the TupperChef™ Baking Ring on a baking tray.
  3. Add all doughnut ingredients into a Mixing Bowl; mix until combined.
  4. Evenly distribute the batter into the cavities of the TupperChef Baking Ring, making sure each cavity is only half full.
  5. Transfer to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until donuts bounce back when touched. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before unmolding.
  6.  Add a coating or frosting to the doughnuts.
  7.  For a cinnamon sugar coating, combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Lightly coat donuts in the cinnamon sugar. Serve.
  8. For a vanilla icing, combine all ingredients (excluding sprinkles) in a bowl. Dip the donuts in the mixture, before scattering with sprinkles. Allow frosting to stand for 30 seconds until slightly hardened. Serve
  9. For a chocolate icing, combine all ingredients (excluding sprinkles) in a bowl. Dip the doughnut in the chocolate mixture, before scattering with sprinkles. Allow frosting to stand for 30 seconds until slightly hardened. Serve

Tupper Tips:

  • For a chocolate flavoured doughnut, add 2-3 tbs cacao powder and 2 tbs milk into the doughnut batter, before  icing with the chocolate frosting.
  • Use crushed nuts, chocolate flakes or crushed cookies as an alternative to  sprinkles.
