Our Plastics

Tupperware materials are carefully selected to the highest global food safety standards in plastics.

Our products are 100% BPA-free and recyclable.

Plastics containing BPA were once commonly used in Australia and New Zealand, but most reputable manufacturers of food grade storage and packaged foods and beverages no longer use these materials.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the USA and the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) all state that there’s no consumer health risk from BPA exposure at current levels. Yet, as an innovator in high quality storage, reheating and cooking products, we have taken steps to remove BPA from our manufacturing processes and as of 2010, all products sold by Tupperware Australia and New Zealand are 100% BPA-free.

Packaging Disposal

Our product packaging has been designed to protect your items upon delivery and keep them in a sterile state. Some product packaging (soft plastics only not degradable plastic) can be deposited into your local REDCycle bin, located at your nearest Coles or Woolworths store. All of our products can be recycled according to the table of recycling codes below.
