- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 cups whole meal flour
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp dried yeast
- 3 tsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 1/2 -2 3/4 cups water
- In a Thatsa® Bowl Junior, combine flours, oats and salt. Mix with Tupperchef™ Medium Spatula. Sprinkle in yeast. (Adding yeast directly on to salt will kill it). Add the honey and water and stir to combine. Tip onto a lightly floured surface and form into a ball by pulling sides up to the centre. Wipe out bowl and place dough into it. Add seal and stand overnight (8-10 hours). Mixture will rise to the top of the bowl and be quite frothy.
- Preheat oven to 220°C (200°C fan). Place UltraPro™ Loaf Pan inside oven on centre shelf. Heat for 10 minutes. Carefully add dough, spreading out with spatula. Add cover and cook for 45 minutes. Remove cover, sprinkle top with a little water, to help form a hard crust and bake a further 10-15 minutes until golden and crust is hard.
- Remove. Tip out after 5 minutes onto a wire rack to cool. Slice with a serrated knife. Store in Bread Smart Junior.
TupperTip: You can make a white loaf with 4 cups white plain flour, omit oats, reduce the yeast to 1 1/2 teaspoons and use 2 cups water. Follow recipe.
