Smashed Ice Creams

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE CHOC MALT ICE-CREAM SMASH

  • 700ml high quality vanilla ice cream, softened slightly
  • 2 tbs malted milk powder
  • 1⁄4 cup (60ml) thickened cream
  • 1 tbs caster sugar
  • 100g maltesers, crushed
  • 2 tbs (40ml) chocolate fudge topping

FOR THE SNICKERS ICE-CREAM SMASH

  • 700ml high quality vanilla ice cream, softened slightly
  • 1⁄4 cup (60ml) thickened cream
  • 1 tbs caster sugar
  • 1 snickers bar, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbs roasted peanuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbs (40ml) caramel topping 2 tbs (40ml) chocolate fudge 

METHOD

CHOC MALT ICE-CREAM SMASH

  1. In a Thatsa® Bowl Junior, combine the ice-cream, malted milk, thickened cream, sugar and maltesers. Fold through the chocolate topping and pour mixture into FreezerKeeperTM Small High. Place into freezer for 1-2 hours or until frozen.
  2. To serve, scoop ice-cream using the Ice-Cream Scoop from the FreezerKeeperand serve in bowls. Drizzle with additional fudge topping, as desired.

SNICKERS ICE-CREAM SMASH

  1. In a Thatsa Bowl Junior, combine the ice-cream, thickened cream, sugar, snickers bar and roasted peanuts. Fold in caramel and chocolate toppings and pour mixture into FreezerKeeper Small High. Place into freezer for 1-2 hours or until frozen.
  2. To serve, scoop ice-cream using the Ice-Cream Scoop from the FreezerKeeper and serve in bowls. Drizzle with additional toppings, as desired.
