Salmon Burger
SERVES 6 Persons PREPARATION TIME 5 min.
COOKING TIME 15 min.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE SALMON BURGERS
- 1 kg salmon (skinless)
- 2 tbs chives, finely chopped
- 1⁄4 cup dill, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tbs (20ml) olive oil, for frying
FOR THE AVOCADO MAYONNAISE
- 1 large ripe avocado
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper
- 1⁄2 lime, juiced
- 2 tbs coriander, finely chopped
TO SERVE
- Burger buns, lightly toasted or grilled
- 1⁄2 red onion (50g), thinly sliced
- 1 Lebanese cucumber (150g), thinly sliced
- Lettuce
METHOD
- Using the SuperSonic process the salmon and put into a mixing bowl.
- Add remaining burger ingredients to salmon and mix until thoroughly combined. Season generously with salt and pepper. Form into
- 6-8 burger patties.
- Pour oil into the Chef SeriesTM Pure Cookware 28cm Frypan and place over a medium heat. Add in patties (4 at a time), and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked just cooked through.
- Meanwhile, place the paddle whisk attachment in the SuperSonic Chopper, add all mayonnaise ingredients; lock cover into position and pull the cord several times until contents are well combined and smooth.
- To serve, place salmon burgers in lightly grilled burger buns, top with thinly sliced red onion, cucumber, lettuce and the avocado mayonnaise.
Tupper Tips:
- Serve patties with a side of salad for a low carb option.
