Banana Mummies
SERVES: 6
PREP TIME: 20 min
COOKING TIME: 20 min
STANDING TIME: 10 min
DIFFICULTY: Easy
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp (15ml) water
- 6 bananas
- 230g ready rolled puff pastry
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar (15ml)
- 1 tbsp dry shredded coconut (15ml)
- 12 raisins
METHOD:
- Preheat oven to 210°c in convection mode
- in the Space Saver 300ml Bowl or Mixing Bowl, mix the egg yolk and water using the KP Beater
- Peel the bananas
- Cut the puff pastry in 1cm wide strips and roll them around the bananas to make them look like mummies. Place them on the TupperChef Rectangle Form (set on a cold oven rack)
- Baste the puff pastry with the egg yolk using the Basting Brush, then sprinkle with vanilla sugar and coconut. Place 2 raisins on each banana to make the eyes
- Bake for approx. 17-20 mins. Allow to stand 10 mins before serving.
TupperTip: Depending on the size of bananas, you may need to cook in 2 batches.
