Banana Mummies

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) water
  • 6 bananas
  • 230g ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar (15ml)
  • 1 tbsp dry shredded coconut (15ml)
  • 12 raisins

METHOD:

  1. Preheat oven to 210°c in convection mode
  2. in the Space Saver 300ml Bowl or Mixing Bowl, mix the egg yolk and water using the KP Beater
  3. Peel the bananas
  4. Cut the puff pastry in 1cm wide strips and roll them around the bananas to make them look like mummies. Place them on the TupperChef Rectangle Form (set on a cold oven rack)
  5. Baste the puff pastry with the egg yolk using the Basting Brush, then sprinkle with vanilla sugar and coconut. Place 2 raisins on each banana to make the eyes
  6. Bake for approx. 17-20 mins. Allow to stand 10 mins before serving. 

 

TupperTip: Depending on the size of bananas, you may need to cook in 2 batches.
