INGREDIENTS
- 6 medium Granny Smith apples (750g), peeled, sliced
- 6 Medjool (fresh) dates, pitted, quartered lengthways
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 75 g butter, cut into small cubes
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Place apple, dates, sugar and water in an UltraPro®. Cook in microwave on high/100%/900 watts for 5 minutes to soften. Stir halfway through cooking time.
- For the topping: Combine flour, oats and sugar together in a Mixing Bowl. Rub in butter until mixture clumps together. Sprinkle over apples and bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until golden. Serve with cream or ice cream.
