Padang Salad
Padang is a traditional Indonesian dish which originated from the cuisine of the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra. It features a miniature banquet of meats, fish, vegetables, and spicy sambal eaten with plain white rice. It is one of the more iconic, internationally known dishes from Indonesia and is still enjoyed worldwide today.
This recipe is our take of the Padang dish as an appetizer!

INGREDIENTS (6 PEOPLE)
- 250 g potatoes
- 2 cloves, cucumber
- 1 tomato
- 3 boiled eggs
- 4 lbs lettuce leaves
- 2 tablespoons fried onions
- enough red crackers
Sauce:
- 100 g diced boiled potatoes
- 3 boiled egg yolks
- 100 ml liquid margarine
- 50 ml water
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 2 teaspoons sugar
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Peel the potatoes, slice thinly with Speedy Mando, fry until crispy, set aside.
- Thinly slice cucumber with Speedy Mando and slice tomatoes. Separate the egg whites, slice thinly, set aside.
- Sauce: Mix egg yolks, boiled potatoes, fried onions, melted butter, pepper, salt and sugar, blend using the SuperSonic Chopper. Add water and vinegar, stir well.
- Serve: Place lettuce leaves on the Eco Clear 2.4L, add cucumber slices, tomatoes, egg whites, potato chips and red crackers on top, drizzle with sauce and fried onions.
