Exceeding Expectations
It is always inspiring to receive positive feedback about our wonderful Demonstrators. The email below, received by one of our Directors and forwarded to head office recently, certainly reinforced the pride we have in our people and justified why Demonstrators and Managers from Australia/New Zealand are number 1 in the world when it comes to party average and sales per guest.
To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing to you today as I’d like to give you some feedback concerning one of your many demonstrators.
Very recently I hosted and attended a Tupperware party which was demonstrated by xxxxxxxxx
Both these parties were one of the best Tupperware parties I have been to. Xxxxxxxxx is enthusiastic, bubbly, honest and very likable. She made the party lively, kept the attendees interested and above all, xxxxxxxxx has put her own spin on things.
I have been to other Tupperware parties and honestly, I just wanted to place my order and leave.
Xxxxxxxxx people skills and personality makes you want to join in on activities and demonstrations and book a party of your own.
Tupperware products usually sell themselves however, xxxxxxxxx demonstration of the products (new and old) are always interesting and just prove the quality and diversity of Tupperware.
Again, I have been to a lot of Tupperware parties, yet I have never met a demonstrator quite like xxxxxxxxx.
It was a pleasure bringing her into my home and around those nearest and dearest to me and I appreciate the distance she travelled to make my party a success.
I feel it’s my way of saying thanks to xxxxxxxxx by letting you know what a great Tupperware representative you have.
Regards,
A very happy Tupperware Host & Customer
The delighted Host who took the time to write the letter featured below highlighted some key characteristics that particularly impressed her and her guests. These ‘herbs and spices’ are this Demonstrator’s winning formula:
- Interesting and informative
People love to learn new ideas, hints, tips, recipes, uses and information. This helps people justify their buying decision, especially when it relates to higher priced items. It also helps them feel they have received value for the time they have invested to be at the party. They are more likely to want to see you again as they see you as a great source of valuable lifestyle information so it’s also good for dating.
- Bubbly and enthusiastic
Energy is contagious; people are drawn to be around people who are upbeat, energetic, positive, friendly and happy. Whether this is your natural personality style or not, you can do things on the way to your party which will help you come across as more energetic, such as listening to your favourite music, motivational CDs or podcasts etc.
- Unique personal style
This Demonstrator stood out as being unique and ‘putting her own spin’ on the Demonstration; this added to her appeal. We all have a natural style… a personal ‘brand’ if you like. Some of us are natural comedians, some are more studious but really great at researching background information to add value, some consistently go ‘above and beyond’ with customer service. The key to being seen as unique is to play to your strengths and minimise any characteristics which don’t add to your success.
- Engaging and lively
It certainly sounds like this Demonstrator thought about her audience before the party and tailored it to suit them, they were involved and enjoying the experience. There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to people and successful Demonstrators and Managers consider the products, theme, party flow, demonstration tips, dating bids and activities that will appeal to the group they are with. Focusing on your customers’ needs will always win you respect and keep your business top of mind.
Why not do a quick personal audit and see how many of these winning traits you regularly include in your business? Are there any you can improve to ensure you consistently delight your customers and become (or remain) their ‘Demonstrator of Choice’?
