Natasha Yannuccelli -
Demonstrator of the Month
Hi Natasha, thanks for talking to Insight. What’s been your best experience as a Tupperware Demonstrator/Manager?
The best experience was a matter of weeks ago when three of my five New Managers featured in the TOP 5 in Queensland at August Sessions!!
What have you gained most from your Tupperware experience so far?
The ability to start and develop my own business that can earn an amazing income but also work around my three gorgeous children.
What's the strangest use for Tupperware you've come across?
One of my customers uses the bottom of the water bottle for her dogs water when out for a walk
What are your tips for dating parties?
Arrive half an hour early at a party to build rapport with the guests. Mention FREE products 7-10 times throughout the party (making sure guests understand they can have anything they want for free, not just the host gifts on offer) Make having a ‘get together’ sound light and easy. Tupperware Parties are the new black! (what does that mean?)
What are your tips on dating parties within 14 days?
Don't ask ‘Now when would you like your party?’ If the party is on the Friday I turn the page and ask ‘how is Friday the …th for you?’ Not mentioning that its only 7 days later. If I get a no I then offer the Saturday then the next Thursday. By this stage I have offered three dates and they often say yes to this one or the Friday night. This keeps the date within the 14 days.
Can you give us some tips on party planning success at your parties?
I work closely with the tic tac toe (in the party planning booklet) and never assume the host knows how to have a good party. I always follow up with 2-3 phone calls.
How much contact do you have after party planning? What form does this contact take?
I always phone the Host around four days after dating the party. This way you can iron out any problems early. It’s always a quick call just to excitedly ask them how many boxes they have ticked in the tic tac toe. This is where I would encourage them if they still have squares not ticked.
I then contact them 4-5 days later. At this stage you have a fairly good idea of where the party is at. If they have most or all of the boxes ticked I tell them that they have just done most of my job for me and they should think about joining me and that I will see them on the day of their party about half an hour before the start time.
Do you have any hints or tips for other Demonstrators/Managers?
Set goals and back the goals up with consistent work.
What product do you use the most at your place and why?
Clear Mates are a HUGE favourite in my house because you can see the food and it then gets devoured rather than thrown away!
How do you sell this product at your parties?
How often do you put food in a non see-through container and 2 to 3 weeks later you wonder "what on earth is in that container?" only to find a science experiment growing in there! Clear mates are air tight, liquid tight and modular so they save 30% space in your fridge.
How often do you buy ¼ of a watermelon and you pop it in the fridge thinking about how great it looks. Two days later you think I must cut that up. Another 4-5 days later its still sitting there dripping down the back of the fridge. If you cut up your fruit and salads as soon as you get home and put them in Clear Mates it looks fresh, it looks appetising. People see it. they eat it, saves time, saves money, buy more SHOES!
What are the popular themes that hosts date for?
I really just rely on people wanting to date a party because they want the products for free… I don't do a lot of themed parties, I'm more of an educator - I educate guests on how to save time and money.
What is the importance of having a personal program as a Demonstrator?
Without a personal program you don't have a business. Also, if I have a week with no parties I feel nervous all over again. I feel very relaxed holding a consistent program. It also creates a consistent income as long as you over date your diary.
What is the importance of having a personal program as a Manager?
It’s the key to building your team with MIT’s and creating strong DPO’s.. As is often the case, Managers’ Personal Recruits tend to become their New Managers. It means we can train on the job. It gives us a weekly income and keeps us in touch with the market. I love people, so meeting new people is always the upside of our job.
What’s been your highest personal sales in a month?
$28500
What’s been your highest united sales in a month?
$183,000.00 (July this year)
What are your business/personal goals?
My Personal Goal – to have our mortgage paid off in the next 5 years, to complete renovations to our home, to travel to Italy and France with Jason in the next couple of years, to raise well-balanced, happy children.
My Business Goal – to train and develop ten strong DPO’s to achieve their desired level in their business. To sustain Diamond in my base team and to keep growing my yearly income.
If you had one piece of advice for a new Demonstrator what would it be?
Give Tupperware a go for at least six months to learn the ropes and deal with the teething problems and have the training complete. Start off with AT LEAST 6 parties. Go to as many training parties as you can, as you need to find your own style. Dating is your focus. The key to success is party planning strongly and to be consistent. The key to making money is, without doubt, over-dating your diary. A lot of people are scared to do this. But this became second nature once I decided to step into the unknown and give it a go. I still do it today.
Anything else special that you'd like to add?
Tupperware is an amazing company that I am proud to be a part of. And its as easy as A B C; if you follow the steps and the rules it REALLY works.
