Jacque Pepperdene -
Demonstrator of the Month
Hi Jacque, thanks for talking to Insight today.
You always have a good party programme, what would be some of your tips to maintain this consistently?
Always have your diary planed for where you would like to work, regularly make calls towards outside dates, date in close, send confirmation cards every Thursday for the following week’s work and really important: make phone contact with every Host!
How do you plan for a Big Week?
I always make sure to have enough paperwork and games gifts ready. I have books made up ready to go, bags of games gifts made up for each party, make sure my home office is cleaned and orderly, and I make sure the fridge and freezer is stocked.
What tools do you use for dating parties?
I always key chains, mini spatulas and multi measuring spoons, however I regularly change my dating ideas - for example, I might have a recipe sampled on the front of our small Tupperware paper bags, with a key chain inside. Or, I’ll prepare 3 boxes with big bows on top, and I always have guest ask ‘What’s inside those boxes?” I’ll then hand them one of the boxes and say “You’re not allowed to peek, just hold onto it for now.” That gets them curious! There are endless ideas to make dating fun for everyone.
What makes your Big Weeks different from your normal weeks?
I plan to perhaps do 3 or 4 parties in one day, as I’m already dressed for work, I might as well keep going! Plan your parties with the suburbs close to each other, have the car packed with party themes, catalogues made up, party packs, games gifts and plenty of water. It’s an amazing feeling to end the day with such great results!
How do you work your business around your family, do you share your goals with them?
My family is always informed when I am having a Big Week. It makes the week much easier.
We always set a family goal and I always have a business goal set. It keeps the week in perspective.
What are your plans for Record Breaker Week 2011?
This year I am planning a couple of different ideas, I have already set my Business and Personal goals that I wish to accomplish.
I have to have my biggest week ever!
As always, nothing comes from doing nothing!
