Adam Weinstock -
Demonstrator of the Month

Hi Adam, thanks for speaking to us today. Firstly, how long have you been in Tupperware, and why did you join?

I joined Tupperware in Week 30, 2003, so about 8 years ago.   My wife was a Tupperware Manager and she encouraged me to start my own business, believing I could ‘sell ice to Eskimos’.  At first I was sceptical, but I soon found that my income from holding only 3-4 parties a week exceeded what I was earning as a full time teacher working 5 days (and many nights) a week.  The money I make for the hours I do is absolutely fantastic!

How does it feel to know you’re the top Manager in Personal Sales for the Month of May?

I have achieved many personal and team goals over the years, but to be the Top Manager for Personal Sales in Tupperware’s 50th Birthday Month is truly a great honour.

How did you plan and prepare your May?

In the lead up to May, I held 18 parties. From these parties in April, I double and triple dated, this allowed me to build a solid May program.  My May Hosts were contacted frequently to keep them excited about their parties. I worked alongside each of them to help them achieve their party goals.  My birthday week Hosts were given a ‘by invitation only’ timeslot into the week – and party planned thoroughly.  I planned to have a big sales and datings Week 19, which allowed me to build a solid program for the rest of the month.

Party planning is the key to any successful party –what are your party planning tips?

When party planning my Hosts I concentrate on the following key points.

  • Encourage my Hosts to complete the Tic Tac Toe special challenge sheet.
  • Give at least 20 invitation cards and remind my Hosts to contact all their guests with a phone call the night before.
  • Urge my Hosts to personally invite all guests and ask them to bring a friend.
  • Inform my Hosts to collect as many external orders.
  • Ask everyone if they will book a party to help you out.

What is your personal goal in Tupperware?

My personal goal is to provide a comfortable lifestyle for my family with lots of opportunities for my children. I want to pay off my mortgage quickly, be a decent father and husband whilst maintaining a flexible ‘work-life’ balance.

What are your top 5 tips for dating and holding successful Tupperware parties?

1.  You have to be passionate about the people, the business and the product.  My customers always get a strong sense that I love what I do.

2. I talk up the features and benefits of the products and always take the Thank You and Host Gift Specials to every party.

3.  I try to make my parties lots of fun – an experience to be repeated.

4.  I look after my Hosts and ‘spoil them’ with the dating tools provided by Tupperware.

I want all the guests to enjoy the same benefits as my Host – and I want them to ask me if they can Host a party too.

5. Finally – I ask every person in the room if they will date a party too.  They can help a friend, get free products and have lots of fun.
