Stacy's Story

Stacy fiddled nervously with her necklace as she waited to be led into the office. She had never felt comfortable asking for things and wondered if her wish list was too big. She hadn’t been in her role very long and was concerned that she would be seen as too forward and demanding.

Caroline seemed very supportive and approachable but Stacy was not sure what her reaction would be. After all it’s not every day that someone asks for so many ‘perks’ all in one go:

Stacy’s wish list…

Luckily for Stacy she is a Tupperware Demonstrator. For 49 years in Australia and 37 years in New Zealand the secret of our success has been ‘build the people and the people will build the business.'

Not surprisingly her Director Caroline reacted very positively. She was thrilled that Stacy had put up her hand to progress up the Tupperware career path and was impressed by the obvious thought and focus she had put into her goals.

Together, they called Stacy’s Manager and have put in place an eight week plan to help Stacy achieve her first goal; to become a Tupperware Manager. They are using the MIT (Manager in Training) Development Programme as their roadmap. Following the simple steps and working towards the weekly challenges has taken the guesswork out of the journey.

Stacy sees her skills developing and confidence growing weekly, thanks to both the MIT programme and the Moving On Up training. Her income is growing steadily from the extra business building activities she is practicing.

Stacy has noticed the flow-on effect this new direction is having on the rest of her life… she is proud, excited and really happy. Friends and family have even commented on her ‘sparkle’!

Stacy and her Manager have set a goal to ‘shop till they drop’ together in the markets and malls in Kuala Lumpur. Attending this year’s Manager Conference will be a dream come true for Stacy (her partner and children are already working on their own wish lists for her to bring back).

From listening to the other Managers talk Stacy knows that mixing and sharing ideas with 500+ other Managers from around Australia and New Zealand will give her new business ideas to keep her and her team fresh for years! She also can’t wait for the opening and closing night dinners, the recognition, the food, the training, the culture, the fun and the friendships.

Stacy knows she has lots to learn but she also knows that she has great support and can make her business whatever she wants it to be. As long as she stays relevant to her Hosts, guests, Demonstrators and her team… As long as she is genuine and passionate in the way she walks, talks, demonstrates, coaches, shares and plays - she will have an amazing business, amazing success and a truly amazing ride!

Often great opportunities are just a matter of being in the right place at the right time… if you are a Tupperware Demonstrator you are in the right place. If anything you’ve read in Stacy’s story strikes a chord with you, now is the right time!

Have a chat with your Director and/or Manager and share your goals no matter how tentative. Together you will be amazed at what can be achieved.
