Hints and Tips with Kaylene

Working with the $220 Tupperware Voucher as a Host Gift Special

• July = total value for Hosts: During the July promotion, Hosts can qualify for $420 of Tupperware for only $60! That’s $360 for free with only $750 in party sales + 2 dates. In other words your Hosts can earn nearly 50% of the value of their party sales as gifts! This is achieved by using the Mystery pack, Thank You Gift (valued at $200) for just $60 Host Contribution, along with the Host Gift Special Voucher of $220.

• Double the reward: Usually a party with $750 in sales and 2 dates would entitle a Host to receive $110 free Tupperware of their choice (using the Regular Host Gift table). During July Hosts can double their money!

• Party Plan: It’s important when party planning Hosts to ensure the $220 value is converted to Tupperware products, e.g. party plan for products to the value of $220. And list the Host’s product selections in the ‘Host Gift Goal’ section of the party planning booklet - don’t just write the words “$220 free Tupperware”. Tangible products work as a much stronger visual than the word ‘voucher’. Your Host’s desire to achieve their gift goal becomes an emotional ‘want’ once Tupperware dollars are personalized to the products they would like.

• Once you’ve found out what’s on your Host’s Wish List: Make sure you bring these products along to the party in order to Demonstrate them. This will be a very powerful motivator for your Host to try and meet their party goals. You can also explain to the other guests that by Hosting their own party, they can earn the same gifts for free.

• Convenient Kit carriers can aid your dating bids #1:Your Kit can be set up in carry baskets. Each basket could contain themed product stories to the approximate $220 value. When I was Demonstrating, I had eight baskets that I rotated for each party chain. By numbering baskets and noting what numbered basket I took to each party in my diary I could always be assured my kit looked different for the connecting parties. However, the real advantage was that after each basket was demonstrated, I could finish with a strong party bid; the basket of products was in fact a potential Host Gift. To replicate this: calculate the party sales required for each basket - including two dates of course.

• Convenient Kit carriers can aid your dating bids #2:You may be surprised how many people can’t have a party and instead ask where they can order a set. When I was Demonstrating, I used to say “just write basket number ‘2’ under miscellaneous” on your Price List. In other words, you demonstrate basket number ‘2’ and conclude by saying “if you would like to order this set please write basket ‘2’ under miscellaneous”. Then you can point out that there is a much better way to get the basket; by hosting a party your guests could earn it for free.

• Fun and games in July: A game/activity for guests at parties during July could be to hand out $250 play money and allow guests a few minutes to list what products they would purchased from the Tupperware catalogue using these ‘funds’ (i.e. $220 Host Gift Special and $30 for the Thank You Gift Voucher). Asking guests to call out what was on their lists and noting who else had those products can also be a good yardstick on what to demonstrate.

• July is the time to…CKP: Offer your CKP workshops with several guests rather than just one. With just $750 in sales and 2 bookings from the workshop the product rewards would be precisely what your customers need to deck out their pantry. No need to take whatever set is on offer this month… no need to work the food the around the products. Instead your Hosts get to choose containers to suit their individual food storage needs.
