“Dinner Party” tradition takes a new twist for charity

We wanted to share with you some exciting news about a new Australian charity first.

Local charity the MS Society is kicking off the Big Dinner Party during March to help raise money for people living with multiple sclerosis.

The charity has revitalised the Australian ‘dinner party’ craze and created a great new way for customers to dine at home.

What is MS?

MS is the most common neurological disease in Australia and affects thousands of young Australians. At the moment there is no known cure for the disease.

What is Big Dinner Party?

It’s a simple and easy idea – people invite their friends and family over for a nice dinner during March and the guests give the host the money they would have spent on dinner out to donate to the MS Society.

All money raised by the dinner party guests will help fund vital research into a cure for MS and support those Australians living with this incurable condition.

Whether a dinner party means a three course meal or a simple BBQ, or grabbing some nice takeaway, it’s just great to know everyone is dining together to help fight MS.

How you can help

Tupperware is supporting this great dinner party initiative and we encourage you to too. There are a number of ways you can help promote Big Dinner Party

  1. Host a dinner party of your own for MS and invite your friends and family over to learn more about the disease.
  2. Encourage your own network of Hosts to have their own Big Dinner Party fundraiser for the MS Society. You do the cooking demonstration of choice; the Host and guests can eat, shop and make their donation to the cause.  At the end of the party you may suggest the Host choose to raffle or auction their Host Gifts among the guests to raise further funds.
